In October, 2002, the Rotunda of the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington DC contained a week-long In Her Hands exhibition sponsored by California Senator Dianne Feinstein. An hour before the opening reception, Toby hugs her daughter, Beth Schroppel, who flew in from Evergreen, Colorado.

Behind-the-scenes view: uncrating 40 framed In Her Hands images under the eyes of the Senator for whom the Rotunda and building were named. In the Russell Caucus Room (where JFK announced his candidacy, the Watergate Hearings and the Titanic Investigation occurred), Paola welcomes guests and salutes the reception's co-hosts, The Crafts Center and Women's EDGE, nonprofits that work with low income women all over the world.
